Lamont Brown
Owner & Chef of Maya's Tapas & Wine in Haleʻiwa, Hawaiʻi
Lamont Brown discovered his passion for cooking while working in the coast guard, which then led him to attend Petaluma California Culinary School. Brown decided to open a restaurant with a unique menu that is fused with Spanish-Mexican influence, targeting local customers while incorporating his own cultural flare. Maya's Tapas &
Wine, named after his daughter, is located in Hale'iwa on the North Shore of Oʻahu.
